Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed state departments to prepare a detailed, ten-part account of the coalition government's record since it took office in 2024, under the title "Progress Report 2024-26." The chief minister reviewed the plan with ministers and senior officials before issuing the directive.
The reports are expected to cover state finances, the Polavaram irrigation project, the Amaravati capital region, the power sector, law and order, mining and excise, among other areas, each backed by performance data. Naidu is set to personally release the reports on finance, development, welfare and governance, while individual ministers will release the remaining volumes for their departments.
Officials say all ten reports are scheduled to be published by mid-July and will later be compiled into a single consolidated volume. The first report, focused on the power sector, is expected to be the earliest released.
The government has described the exercise as an effort to present a factual record of its work over the past two years and to counter misinformation circulating about its governance and welfare initiatives.
