Nandamuri Balakrishna's 112th film will be launched at a formal ceremony on June 25 at the TTD Temple in Venkatayapalem, near Amaravati, according to people close to the production. The film is being directed by Koratala Siva, who has built a reputation for blending mass entertainment with sharper political and social themes in his earlier hits.
Andhra Pradesh ministers Nara Lokesh and Kandula Durgesh are expected to attend the launch, a sign of how closely the state's film and political circles intersect around high-profile productions based in and around the capital region. The project is being produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Sudhakar Mikkilineni under the SLV Cinemas and Yuvasudha Arts banners.
Balakrishna is currently in the middle of shooting his 111th film, a separate project directed by Gopichand Malineni, and is expected to move into the new film once that production wraps. Casting and the rest of the technical crew for the Koratala Siva project have not been formally announced.
For Balakrishna, who has been a fixture of Telugu cinema for decades, reaching a 112th film is itself a marker of one of the more prolific careers in the industry. Pairing with Koratala Siva, fresh off a string of politically tinged blockbusters, has fuelled expectations that the new film will lean into large-scale, message-driven action rather than a straightforward entertainer.
Amaravati's emergence as a venue for such launch events also reflects the capital region's growing role as a gathering point for Andhra Pradesh's entertainment industry, alongside its political establishment, as the state's film fraternity increasingly stages major announcements there rather than only in Hyderabad.
